Ice Cream Swap

Over at the CanadianScrapSwapChat board, we had an ice cream swap!  These are my tags that I created.  This was the first swap that I have ever been involved in, and I think that I can safely say, I'M HOOKED!!!  This was so much fun and after we got all of our stuff back from the swap, I saw how truly talented these ladies are!  Great work ladies!

Children's Rights

Well my blog isn't always about my scrapbooking.  I have 2 beautiful step children and unfortunately we are dealing with custody issues, and it's not a pretty picture.

Right now there is a bill going through Parliament called Bill C-422 Equal Parenting.  What this is, is a bill that is wanting to change the Divorce Act so that it makes it automatic that both parents will have equal parenting with their children.  Meaning that one will not trump the other, unless there is a PROVEN history of abuse or neglect on either side. There is a petition out there to help get this pushed through.  Please go Support Bill C-422 Equal Parenting.

The always talk about looking out for the best interest of the child.  Well how is it in the best interest of the child who, prior to the divorce had BOTH parents there, that suddenly once divorce comes into the picture that suddenly the mother is the best place for the child to be, and that the fathers get every other weekend?

Creative Scrappers - Sketch #109

Well I think that I have one more after this to be done the challanges for June, but it's all good!  This one is of Rob and Olivia on our trip to Prince Albert.  I wanted a great page for just the two of them for her own book.  I love to see the looks on their faces when they go flipping back through the pages, and remember the times that these pictures show.  I'm so blessed to have such an amazing family!

Again, a little late, but here it is none the less!  This was from a couple of years ago, and I just never found the right motivation to scrap these pictures of Alex until today.  This was at Grandma Sandi's house in the summer of 2008.  She has a huge jet tub that the kids just love when it makes all these bubbles!

Yet another block!

Well there has been a lot of negative energy around us for the past little while.  Learning to deal with it has been hard, but we are doing this together.  I absolutely love and appreciate the support that our friends and family have been giving to us.  I just don't know what I would do without you all!  Rob has to work 12 hour shifts both Saturday and Sunday, so I'm hoping with a quiet household, that I can get my creative juices flowing and get some work done!  So please stay tuned, and I apologize for my lack of updating, been a lot going on!
